Practitioner of the Year Award

The CDF Practitioner of the Year is an annual award which was established in 1992 to honour Canadian dermatologists whose major income is produced from clinical practice and who have made a major contribution to dermatology and the community at large.

Nominations

The Board of Directors solicits nominations for the award in the upcoming year. Nominations shall be made by a Canadian member and seconded by four other dermatologists. The nominations shall be accompanied by a curriculum vitae and a one page summary of the contributions made by the nominee to dermatology and to the community at large. The Board welcomes letters of support from any member of the community.

Selection

Final selection is made by the Board of Directors of the CDF. A donation to the Foundation is made in the recipient’s name by an industry sponsor, bestowing on the Practitioner of the Year the status of Life Member or Benefactor Life Member.

The Practitioner of the Year is presented with a commemorative plaque by the President of the Canadian Dermatology Foundation at the Annual Meeting.
