The CDF Colin Ramsay Endowment Fund.
The first research grant was awarded from the CDF Colin Ramsay Endowment Fund in 2006. This fund was established thanks to endowments of $350,000 from BiogenIdec Canada and $175,000 from Astellas Pharma Canada.
Dr Colin Ramsay (1936 – 2003) played a major role in the CDF and in the growth the Capital Fund, as a Director from 1984 – 1993 and President, from1993 to 1998.
Dr Jerry Shapiro, UBC, Vancouver, is the 2011 CDF Colin Ramsay Endowment Fund Research Grant recipient.
